Kuşadası - Ephesus

Kuşadası is a resort that is very popular with cruise ships. The town has an attractive old quarter and a picturesque castle, but our main reason for stopping here is to the visit the great city of Ephesus, which was the capital of the Roman province of Asia. Its monuments include a Temple of Artemis that was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Library of Celsus, a theater, and a beautiful colonnaded street, known as the Arcadian Way. Among the more recent discoveries at the site are the so-called Terrace Houses, which have splendid frescoes and floor mosaics. Ephesus gives a very complete impression of how a great classical city must have looked in its heyday, and a visit is an experience you won't soon forget.
